Someone Reposted my Work Without My Permission!
That's a biiiiig no-no!

My piece, A Maiko's Hope, which I spent countless hours and blood, sweat and tears to create has been posted on this Portuguese blog about tattoos under the blog title of "Temple Tattoo Ideas" or something like that. I do not speak, nor read, Portuguese.
Here is the thieving blog. Why anyone would want to tattoo that huge piece of mine on their body is beyond me!
Check to see if any of yours or anyone you know, has their work posted as well.
I've already submitted the DMCA Form through Google as Blogger is owned by Google. I am now just waiting to hear that my piece has been removed.
In my DMCA complaint I posted the certificate created by MyOWs.com which should help my work being removed even faster.
For those of you who do not know about MyOWs you should really sign up for a free account and upload each and every artwork you create to it for extra protection.
Yes, your work is copyrighted the moment you create it, but MyOWs acts as your digital bodyguard and will offer proof of ownership for you, even in court, should you need it. They can even help you open a copyright infringement case and walk you through the steps of what needs to be done.
Every artist should be using MyOWs.com!
Update, My Artwork Has Been Removed!
By contacting Google and showing them my MyOWs.com Certificate of Ownership, my work was removed from the blog within 2 days! That is remarkable news!
Thank you MyOWs for helping to remove my artwork from unauthorized use without causing a legal mess and a headache!
Casey
